Tiny Torreys Field Trip to the Firestation

Our Tiny Torreys (ages 3 & 4) continued their safety curriculum this week with a visit to the local firestation for a lesson from firefighters. Ms. Bonfield/Ms. Fennessey and Ms. Sullivan/Ms. Tripoli's classes also had the chance, with the help of a fire fighter, to turn on a fire hose and aim the water at a cone target. Among the lessons today were how firefighters dress in a fire to stay safe, fire safety, 9-1-1 emergency and "Stop, Drop, and Roll." The visit finished off with the students touring the inside of a fire truck. Baked treats and a thank you note by our Tiny Torrey were given as thanks to our fire fighters for their duty and for today's special visit.
