LOWER SCHOOL - In preparation for the upcoming mock trial, fifth grade English and Drama hosted a brown bag luncheon for USD law students, Miller Freeman and Liz Crow.  Our guests shared strategies for setting the scene for jurors, identifying holes in testimonies, direct questioning and cross examination.  Miller modeled an opening statement for the defense while Liz described pre-trial interviews and questioning techniques.  The fifth graders will apply these skills in The Case of the Big Bad Wolf, the defendant in the homeroom mock trials on December 5th and 6th.
