Help Recycle Old Tennis Balls

ALL SCHOOL -- In the past, it was customary to take old tennis balls and throw them in the trash, donate them, or roll them off to your dog to fetch and rip apart. Well now, Southern California is trying to change that! reBounces and the BNP Paribas Open have teamed up to offer some great prizes for pros or organizations that recycle and turn in the most tennis balls for the "Rally, Round Up and Recycle” competition. The idea is to award the top 3 clubs or organizations that collect and turn in the most amounts of balls to be recycled, with access to luxury suites for 2012's BNP Paribus Open.

La Jolla Country Day is calling all friends, families, and tennis lovers to bring in any old tennis balls you have lying around. Every ball that is brought in can contribute to the recycling program and the school's goal of collecting over 10,000 tennis balls.

The competition ends on February 29, 2012, so please bring in your old tennis balls to any of the coaches at the tennis courts. We will be appreciative of all donations, and feel free to tell your friends or family of our goal.

Thank you Country Day and let's lead this effort in making a difference in recycling efforts!
