Faierman wins college tournament

Daniel Faierman,class '11, has been training hard this summer in preparation for Nationals next month in Kalamazoo. He recently competed in his first college level tournament last weekend at the Riviera Tennis Club. Run by the ITA, the governing board for college tennis, these events allow college players to compete over the summer break, as well as give junior players like Daniel the chance to see how they match up. Genesee Entry Shifts A Bit East, Requires Continued Caution

Country Day Fund Reaches Goal, 'Best Year Ever'

ALL SCHOOL -- The Country Day Fund reached its 2009-2010 goal, closing the books on the most successful year in the fund's history.

Development Director Deborah Brenner announced the achievement this week, sending sincere thanks to 805 donors (the most ever) -- parents, alumni and alumni parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends of the school. The fund reached its goal of $800,000, Brenner said.
